Join us on CULTURE NIGHT, Friday 18th September 5pm–6:15pm, in The People’s Museum of Limerick for HARPSICHORD HAVEN, a triple launch where audiences of all ages can enjoy an afternoon of Baroque & Contemporary music & film. This event features:
1) a PREMIERE PERFORMANCE of Early Music on Yonit Kosovske's new tabletop ottavino lute-harpsichord.
2) a CD LAUNCH of "Apricity"—Yonit's new album of contemporary music for solo & collaborative harpsichord. The event includes live demonstrations of experimental techniques and new sounds for harpsichord as presented by Yonit Kosovske & composer Eoin Callery.
3) a FILM SCREENING of "Litany" by composer/filmmaker Justin Grounds—in homage to 4 animals who recently went extinct, featuring music for violin, harpsichord, hurdy-gurdy, and handpan.
